Just what makes me tick?

The Present?

I'm a 20 year old student currently enrolled at Penn State University, working dual majors in Information Sciences and Technology and German Studies. When not working on various projects or schoolwork, I like to read, play the guitar, and play Ultimate Frisbee. I'm also interested in Filmmaking, Graphic Design, and Photography.

The Future?

I'm not entirely certain yet. I like the idea of going to graduate school and eventually becoming a professor and researcher. I also like the idea of working for or starting my own company, so long as I get to make a difference and help people who need it. In the meantime, I've got plenty of time with which to expand my horizons, sharpen my current skills, and learn a few new ones.

This Site?

I created TimKnapton.com in 2006 with hopes that it would provide opportunities for me to help clientele with my skills, and give me some real-world experience while helping to build my portfolio. The site was a great chance to create a standards-compliant site that is both technically and graphically satisfying to me. It also serves a few other purposes. I use this space as a sandbox with which to develop code, and of course, no geek is complete without a blog.
