KSOC, the "Kubernetes Security Operations Center" aims to help identify and fix security problems for companies who use Kubernetes to orchestrate their cloud infrastructure. Joining as a founding designer, I created a brand and invented novel views and workflows to help users understand and demystify their architecture, which is still quite arcane when it comes to Kubernetes.
With security in focus, and with product and engineering leaders, I continued to develop processes to help users wrangle the complexities of working within K8s. Security concerns are felicitously fixed, big pictures are easily communicated, and fine details are quickly uncovered.
KSOC's website was intended to be dark, be bold, and appeal to "hacker" types, while still remaining friendly and approachable. Target personas were often not experts!
Every flagship feature received a dedicated page explaining the advantages of KSOC's unique perspective on cloud security.
The product is currently under NDA. Screens will appear here eventually!
KSOC's logo subtly plays with the letter K and the concept of a computer terminal's blinking cursor, which network engineers see a lot.
With speed in mind, over 50 logos were brainstormed over the course of a very hectic week.
